Le 5 décembre quelques activistes se sont réunis une première fois pour discuter de l’organisation éventuelle d’un NoBorderCamp (NBC) à Bruxelles. Un concensus en est ressorti visant à organiser ce dernier, qui prendrait place durant l’été 2010 (en septembre ou en octobre)
POURQUOI A BRUXELLES?
- Bruxelles est un symbole dans la mise en oeuvre de la politique (anti)migratoire européenne : Le parlement européen y est installé et à partir de juillet 2010 la Belgique reprendra la présidence de l’Union Européenne. Nous voulons d’une part mettre en question les politiques (anti)migratoires européennes, et d’autre part renforcer la dynamique des activistes européens dans ce domaine.
- Bruxelles est aussi le centre des décisions gouvernementales belges. Le parlement et la chambre y sont installés, de même que les sièges des principaux partis politiques et la direction des administrations chargées de « l’accueil » des étrangers et de leur accès (ou non) au territoire (CGRA, Office des Etrangers, etc.)
- Bruxelles est cosmopolite et connue pour sa vie multiculturelle. De nombreuses communautés de migrants, sans papiers ou non, y vivent et se sont montrées très actives lors des luttes de ces dernières années. Un NoBorderCamp permettrait ainsi de renforcer les liens entre les activistes européens et les sans papiers en lutte.
QUAND ?
Le NBC aurait lieu en septembre ou en octobre 2010 durant une semaine (+3 jours de préparation). Les dates exactes seront définies en janvier en fonction des mobilisations internationales, des sommets européens et des agendas scolaires.
La construction du camp se ferait les vendredi, samedi et dimanche pour pouvoir débuter le camp à proprement parlé du lundi au vendredi. Ce dernier se terminerait le samedi par une grande manifestation à Bruxelles puis le dimanche par un débriefing, le démontage du camp et la remise en état des lieux.
LE CONCEPT DU CAMP :
Le concept serait de proposer des activités décentralisées, autour de thèmes choisis pour chaque journée. Ainsi des ateliers, projections, animations, débats ou concerts seront organisés dans divers endroits à Bruxelles, tant que possible autour de thèmes tels que :
- Frontex et la militarisation des frontières / les politiques sécuritaires
- La clandestinité et les luttes des migrants
- Capitalisme et migrations, exploitation et appauvrissement
- Centres fermés et expulsions
- Les politiques (anti)migratoires européennes
Et après la grande manifestation : Alternatives, quid de l’après NBC ?
COMMENT APPORTER SON SOUTIEN ?
Un NOBORDERCAMP est ce que l'on veut en faire :
- Participe à la réunion du 11 janvier à 19h30. L’adresse te sera communiquée sur demande par email
- Si tu as des idées d'ateliers, de films ou d'une expositions, que tu connais un orateur intéressant ou que tu as d'autres propositions modestes et géniales en tête, contacte nous !
- Nous avons également besoin de terrains, de locaux, d’endroit pour loger des activistes etc pour cette période. Si tu connais des propriétaires sympathiques ou si tu as des idées, contacte-nous !
- C'est un projet collectif et autogéré : encourage tes amis et camarades activistes à participer ! Chacun y a sa place !

In september/oktober 2010 organiseren we een NoBorderCamp in Brussel, met workshops, debatten, (directe) aktie en trainingen. Op zaterdag 5 december was er een eerste vergadering over de organisatie. De volgende vergadering is gepland op 11 januari 2010. We nodigen iedereen
uit om mee te organiseren.
WAAROM IN BRUSSEL ?
- Brussel speelt in de eerste plaats een hoofdrol in de Europese migratiepolitiek: het Europees parlement is er gevestigd en België neemt vanaf juli 2010 het Europees Voorzitterschap op zich. Met het NoBorderCamp stellen we de Europese integratiepolitiek in vraag en werken we aan een radicale verandering.
- Daarnaast is Brussel het politiek centrum van België, thuisbasis van het Parlement, hoofdzetel van politieke partijen, thuisbasis van de Vreemdelingenadministratie (DVZ, CGVS,…), enzovoort.
- Tenslotte wordt Brussel gekenmerkt door een multiculturele samenleving
en leven er grote gemeenschappen migranten en mensen zonder papieren, die
de voorbije jaren heel actief in de strijd waren. Een NoBorderCamp wil de
linken tussen activisten met en zonder papieren in strijd versterken.
CONCEPT VAN HET KAMP
De opzet is een kamp met gedecentraliseerde workshops, debatten, (directe) aktie en trainingen, met een verschillend thema voor elke dag. Op verschillende plekken in Brussel zouden er films, concerten, debatten, akties en workshops plaatsvinden, over volgende thema’s:
- Frontex en de militarisering van de grenzen – het ‘veiliger maken’ van de samenleving,
- Clandestiniteit en de strijd van vluchtelingen,
- kapitalisme en migratie; over uitbuiting en verarming, gesloten centra en uitwijzingen
- het Europees migratiebeleid
En na de grote betoging op zaterdag: Alternatieven, wat na het NoBorderCamp?
WANNEER EN HOELANG?
Het NoBorderCamp zou plaatsvinden in september/oktober en zou zeven dagen duren (exclusief opbouw van 3 dagen). De exacte datum wordt bepaald voor januari 2010, rekening houdend met internationale mobilisaties, de schoolkalender en de politieke agenda van Europa.
Er zou opgebouwd worden op vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag. Vervolgens vindt van maandag tot vrijdag de kampweek plaats, eindigend met een grote betoging op zaterdag en evaluatie/afbraak op zondag.
HOE STEUNEN ?
Een NoBorderCamp is wat je er zelf van maakt:
- kom naar de volgende vergadering, maandag 11 januari om 19u30, de plaats
krijg je via mail toegestuurd.
- Heb je een workshop, interessante film, goede spreker, een expositie, … om ons programma mee te vullen? Neem dan contact op!
- We zijn natuurlijk ook op zoek naar zalen/slaapplaatsen/kampeergelegenheid in Brussel voor die periode, heb je iets beschikbaar, ken je iemand, of heb je goede suggesties, geef ze door!
- Een NoBorderCamp is een collectief en autonoom concept: Maak alvast al je vrienden en medeactivisten warm, iedereen is welkom om dingen te organiseren!

In September/October 2010 we want to organize a No Border Camp in Brussels , hosting workshops, debates, (direct) actions and trainings. On Saturday 5th of December, there was a first meeting about the organization. Next meeting is planned on the 11th of January. We invite everybody to join the organization.
WHY BRUSSELS ?
- Brussels has an important role in European migration politics: the European Parliament is based over there and Belgium will be the chairman, starting on July 2010. With the No Border Camp, we want to question the European Migration Policy and work towards a radical change.
- Brussels is the centre of decision-making in
Belgium , home base of the Parliament, of the headquarters of political parties, of the office of foreign affairs, etc.
- And at last, Brussels has a multicultural society where big communities of migrants and people without papers live, who have been really active in their fight. With the No Border Camp we want to make stronger links between the activists with and without papers.
WHEN EN FOR HOW LONG?
The No Border Camp would take place in September/October and would last for 7 days (besides 3 days to install the camp). The exact date will be determined before January 2010, taking in account international mobilisation, school activities and the agenda of European politics. We would build up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The camp would take place from Monday until Friday, finishing with a big demo on Saturday and the cleaning up/evaluation on Sunday.
CONCEPT OF THE CAMP?
The objective would be to decentralize the workshops/activities in the camp, with a different theme for each day. Films, debates and workshops will take place in different parts of Brussels , concerning the next themes:
- Frontex and the militarisation of the borders, making society ‘a safer place’,
- clandestinity and the struggle of refugees,
- capitalism and migration, about exploitation and empoverisation,
- detention centres and deportations,
- the European migration policy.
And after the big demo on Saturday: alternatives, and what after the No Border Camp?
HOW TO SUPPORT?
A No Border Camp is what you make of it yourself:
- come to the next meeting: Monday 11th of January at 19h30, you can get the address by mail.
- can you give a workshop or do you know some interesting movie, good speaker or can you organise a nice exposition or another idea to fill up our program? Contact us!
- of course we are looking for places to sleep: terrains, rooms, buildings, camping places, whatever! Do you have some place or do you know someone who has, pass them our contacts!
- A NoBorderCamp, is a selforganised place, so motivate your friends and fellow activists!
- There will be a bank account for all financial support.
